Summer Break – Rest, Recharge, and Get Ready to Dance Again

Summer is here, and after a busy year of dancing, performing, and learning new routines, it’s time to take a well-earned break. We hope you’re enjoying the sunshine, seeing friends, and making the most of the longer days.

Taking a rest is important. It gives your body a chance to recover, your mind a chance to reset, and it means you’ll come back to class in September feeling fresh and full of energy. So don’t feel guilty about slowing down – you’ve earned it.

That said, if you want to keep your body moving over the summer, a little gentle stretching can make a big difference. You don’t need to train like you’re in class – just 5–10 minutes a few times a week can help keep your muscles flexible and ready for the new term. Things like reaching for your toes, rolling your shoulders, or a gentle back stretch can all help.

And remember, dancing isn’t only about the steps. Listening to music you love, watching performances for inspiration, or even creating your own little routines in the living room can keep your passion alive until we’re back together in September.

Enjoy the rest, enjoy the sunshine, and when the new term starts, we’ll be ready to hit the ground dancing. We can’t wait to see you back in class!
